Our Tow-Behind Leaf and Lawn Vacuum will work with most conventional-style riding lawn tractors that have a front, mid or belly-mounted lawn deck. All models can be attached to tractors with a 14 HP minimum, however, operating a 14 HP tractor with the DR restricts its use to level terrain.

If you need to operate the Leaf and Lawn Vacuum on any slopes, we recommend keeping it on a slope of no more than 15 degrees. The center of gravity will also depend on how full it is. Working on the steeper sections first while the collection bin is less full is helpful and also consider going up and down rather than sideways on the slope.

The Burn Cage holds eleven hundred cubic inches and measures 35" x 20" x 20". It is constructed of corrosion-resistant stainless steel that can withstand temperatures in excess of 2000° F. The preforated side panels allow for
maximum airflow and higher burn temperatures which translates into a cleaner, more efficient fire.

You can burn any non-toxic backyard debris that is safe to burn in the Burn Cage. You will want to limit the quantity of tree limbs and twigs that you put on the fire at one time.
As the material is consumed, you can then add small additional materials that keep the flame lengths short and reduce any chance of sparks carrying off-site.

You still want to check if a burning permit for your area is required, check weather conditions, follow any burn regulations, always choose and prepare an appropriate burn site, clear the ground and have safety equipment on hand (hose, fire extinguisher, shovel, etc.)

We do require specific measurements from your lawn tractor to ensure compatibility. To help determine whether the DR Leaf and Lawn Vacuum is compatible with your mower, please review the list of questions below. This information will also help you decide which model is appropriate for your riding mower.

1. What is the Cutting Width of your mower? For front mounted lawn mowers 54" or greater you will need to take smaller swaths. If the deck cutting width is greater than 54", greater amounts of discharged material could cause the DR to clog, so mowing smaller swaths is recommended.

2. Do you currently have a bagging or collection system for your lawn mower? If you do, is the diameter of the boot’s discharge opening between 6" and 8"? The blower inlet hose on the DR measures 6" in diameter, but we also have adapters for boots with diameters of up to 8" (included at no charge). If you do not, our Universal-Fit Mower Deck Boot, can be modified to fit lawn decks that have a discharge opening up to 6-1/2" high by 19" wide. If our Universal-Fit Mower Deck Boot will not fit with your mower’s lawn deck, you may be able to locate a boot by contacting the manufacturer or local dealer of your mower.

3. Do you have a pin hitch on the back of your tractor between 5" and 20" from the ground? If not:

- Is there a secure place on the back of your tractor to mount a hitch plate?

If you are in need of a Hitch Plate or opted for the Dual Point Hitch Kit, what is the distance between the rear wheels on your mower?

4. What is the distance from the back opening of the discharge on the lawn mower to the back of the furthest point of the back of the tractor?

- If the distance is 40 inches or less, our standard blower inlet hose will be sufficient. However, if this distance is between 41 inches and 7 feet, then our optional Hose Extension Kit is required.
- If the distance is greater than 7 feet, the mower is too large to be used with the DR.

The 7.52 fpt Trimmer Mower has a powerful Subaru OHV engine for longer life and quieter operation. The standard warranty coverage on the engine is 3 years.

With your purchase, you receive a supply of the green heavy duty cord (155 mil) and the extra heavy duty blue cord (175 mil). The green cord can cut 4 ft tall grass or weeds and the blue cord can handle 4 ft tall burdock or thistle up to 3/8" in diameter.

The vegetation the cord can't cut, we have the Beaver Blade Attachment which can cut woody brush and saplings up to 3" in diameter.

For woody brush and briars that are too tough for the cutting cord and too flexible for the Beaver Blade, we offer the Durablade Kit. Please keep in mind the Durablades will break if they encounter rocks or larger diameter stock.
