DR Wood Splitter 5 Ton Electric Powered
Split wood indoors or out with clean, electric power. Easy-to-use splitter features a 1500 watt, 13.6 amps, 1.75 HP motor that splits wood 20 inches in length and 10 inches in diameter. Uses any 110v household outlet.
How does it do on slab wood?
I normally purchase my firewood from a dealer who supplies what is called slab wood (18" long and varying diameters ) before it is cut in half leaving normally a piece of wood which may be only 6 to 8 inches thick but will be up to 20 inches wide. Will this log splitter be suitable for my situation. I really like the idea of indoor power versus gasoline. It looks to me that there is a rail on one side which my type of wood might be able to rest on .
