Chipping prickly pear cactus?

I have 43 acres in central Texas. In addition to chipping Live Oak branches, I have a need to turn prickly pear cactus into mush. Will this product handle cactus? It would be easier to chip than wood, however, I am concerned about the large amount of water that is in each cactus "leaf." Would cactus jam the shredder and render it ineffective?

Yes, the DR Chipper can handle the prickly pear cactus, you may have to run a garden hose in the hopper to keep the material moving as the cactus tends to be very moist and glog's the hopper. I would recommend that you give our tech team a call at 1-888-550-0062 and they will discuss the best way's to chip up the cactus.

Can it fit through a 25 inch or 26 inch door?

I store equipment in a shed with a 25 inch door. It could be widened to 26 inches if need be. If I tilt the deck, will the two wheels fit through the door? Or if I remove the deck?

The wheel base on the DR 12.5 HP Pro Field and Brush Mower is 30 inches wide and the handle bars 28 inches wide so I do not think you will be able to get it in your shed.

how hard is it to start
