Are different coupler sizes
I use the existing ball on my tracker for other pieces of equipment that I have in the yard. Is there a coupler that will fit on my existing 2" ball so I am not wasting time changing from a 1" ball to a 2" ball many times during the day? I assume the coupler fits over a 1" ball that comes with the starter kit (not sure if it's all one unit or not)?
I'm sorry, there is not a Jimmy Hitch for a 2" ball. You can buy the kit with coupler and 1" ball, and there are extra ball packs available so you can quick attach to all of your towed items.

how does the file attach to the handle? If it must be removed each time to advance the chain is this quick?
The handle and file are the same piece. You slide that out of the orange guide to advance the chain. Then insert into the guide hole and file that tooth, then repeat. Its pretty quick, and more precise than a standard file.

MY LANDTRAC 280 DTC HAS 4 HYDRO CONNECTIONS AT THE HITCH. THE SCHEMATIC SHOWS A FRONT CONTROLLED LEVER FOR EACH PAIR. PULL/PUSH X2. HOW WOULD I CONNECT TO THIS FOR CONSTANT FLUID SUPPLY WITHOUT THE LEVERS UNDER THE SEAT??
I am not familiar with that model of tractor. Please contact your Landtrac dealer for info on attaching accessories. Our splitter has one feed line and one return line.

How do you use the off button?
I have trouble getting the tiller to come on because the off button keeps the power off.
To start this tiller you must push and hold the lock button and squeeze the lever back to the handlebar. Once the tiller turns on, you may release the button, but keep the lever held back to the bar. To shut off, simply release the lever.

Is there a better (secret) way to find 3rd gear?
Kind of hit and miss. while in 2nd try to just tap handle...also hard to find Neutral from reverse have had wagon jump back when starting cause in reverse not neutral....got to be better shifter mechanism!
Please contact our Technical Support department at 1-888-550-0062. They can review the start up procedure with you. The machine should not be able to started when in gear when the procedure is followed correctly. They can also give you some tips for shifting.

Can the jimmy hitch ball be attached to the vehicle and the coupler to the cart?
Yes you could bolt the coupler to the trailer and the ball to the tractor if you would like. The way it is designed, I feel it would be easier to install the ball on the trailer so as to manipulate the collar more easily on the coupler. But that is just my preference. It should function well either way.
