Can the hoist be mounted on the back of a pick-up truck if suitable inverter is used and will it withstand water?
I have never seen this particular hoist used in this way. The motor and control should not get wet. It would need to be covered when not in use. Otherwise I do not see aproblem with mounting to a trucks hoist arm. I just want to be clear that this unit can not be used as a winch to pull horizontally.

Have a traditional rear engine snapper mower and level yard, I also have the snapper bagging kit
As long as your mower is a right side discharge then it should work. You may need a hose extension though . Some rear engine models have a longer wheelbase. Your sales person will discuss that with you when you order.
