This 42" wide blade attachment for PRO and PRO-XL model DR Field and Brush Mowers is great for moving snow or landscaping materials. Quick on/off: 5 minutes, no tools!
bachtold model
I have a bachtold modle and am wondering if the plow attachment will work on my field brush mower... and other accessories like the snow blower??? Thank you for your time Robert
I'm sorry Robert, none of our current accessories will fit a Bachtold machine. Many years ago, there was a lawn deck for that unit, but it has been discontinued for quite some time.

Harness your tractor's power for chipping and shredding. Takes branches up to 4-1/2" thick. Garden waste is pulverized by 48 free-swinging hammers.
What is the size of the opening to the hammer chamber?
Literature states that the hopper opening is 20x20. I assume that's measured at the top of the hopper. What is the opening at the bottom of the hopper to the hammer chamber?
The opening to the hammermill is 7 3/4" x 14". This is so you cannot over load the shredder with too much material at once. Thanks.

Devours yard debris, garden waste, and branches up to 3" thick, and produces rich, finely shredded mulch. Pnuematic tires for easy maneuvering.
When Chipping do the chips go into the shredder section and get hit by the hammers or bypass it?
The chipper discharges into the shredding hopper, and then out the screen in the bottom. The hammers may further reduce the size of the chips depending on the type of wood you are chipping, but this will be minimal since the chips are going to be small enough to fit through the screen right away.

Take your lawn to the next level with regular aeration. The DR is a pro-style coring aerator, that pulls 2-3" plugs to channel moisture and nutrients to the roots.
I have a lawn with a high sand base will this help improve my lawn?
I live in South Texas with high temps requiring a lot of water on the lawn. The sand base allows the water to bleed off quickley so the roots are not as deep as a clay base soil. Will aeration help establish ar better root base or just allow the water to beed off quicker?
Using the DR Aerator will help promote a deeper root system. This will enable your grass to better use the water you have. I also recommend that you apply a drought resistant grass seed after aeration, once or twice a year.

New use for DR Treechopper if you can change mount for Utility Tractor Loader.
Looking for a tool to trim branches from trees in woods and along fence lines where limbs hang in the way. If DR Treechopper had a mount for a Utility tractor front loader like a Kobota or John Deere for example; rotate the device 180 degrees; then one could drive along frence rows and trim branches that hang out in the fields. Or use in sparse wooded lots to clear low hanging branches that interfere with normal bush hog tasks. Please consider.
Thank you for your idea. Currently we do not have a mount for a tractor. Just an ATV. I'll certainly pass your idea along.

Have you had any problems with the shock of the hit damaging the 4 wheeler, either frame or power train?
No we haven't. At recommended speeds, and with the Tree chopper installed properly, you should have no problem cutting up to 4" diameter trees. This is of course, providing that your ATV is in good condition.

Will the tree chopper work to clear off dense growth of trees/bushes?
I have some land that has a lot of small trees and undergrowth that are pretty close together. Will Dr. Treechopper work? If so, how do you remember tackling the job? The vast majority of the trees are less that 4" in diameter.

Thank you for your question Jim. The Tree Chopper will work for this. I would try to single out the larger trees that are nearing 4" in diameter. I can not get a good sence of the chain size in the cataloge photo. I want to use it for pulling large Scotch Broom brush and small 2-3 inch Alder trees .
Thank you for your question. The Clump Grubber is designed to pull clumps and saplings that are 1.75" maximum diameter. The chain itself is tripled, and is 7/25" steel. The chain links are 1/2" diameter.
